BUS 201 Understanding Organisations

Module Description: This module examines a variety of approaches towards analysing work organizations. The module focuses on individual and group processes within organizations addressing issues such as perception, motivation, group and team structure. It will also explore the nature of organizations, giving an overview of traditional approaches to designing organizations including scientific management, classical theory, contingency theory, and socio-technical systems, and concludes with new contemporary approaches to organizational structures, culture and leadership.
