Module Description: This module offers an in-depth look at natural light performance and design in the built environment. It aims to provide advanced knowledge on various aspects related to design issues and strategies, the effect of daylighting on occupant performance, calculations methods and visual comfort evaluation. The module will also highlight the role of electrical lighting and investigate ways to compromise its use with daylighting systems. The delivery of this module will largely depend on offering an international perspective with case studies from around the world and up-to-date knowledge of daylighting and electrical lighting innovative designs.
