Module Description: The aim of the module is to provide the students with a critical understanding and knowledge of the law and practice of international arbitration as a means of settling construction disputes, including issues which are specific to Dubai, the UAE and the wider Gulf Region. Issues to be covered include arbitration agreement, arbitral Tribunal, arbitral proceedings & supportive and supervisory powers of courts, tribunal’s powers and duties, and arbitral Awards.
