Module Description: This module introduces students to the basic knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting. It covers the functions of financial accounting, describe the regulatory framework governing financial accounting, principles of double entry bookkeeping, assess the nature of internal control in accounting, control accounts and the entries for the correction of errors, prepare basic financial statements of sole traders and limited companies and illustrate accounting adjustments.
