Module Description:This module covers the legal nature of marriage & divorce and their legal consequences. It also discusses the Islamic rules of inheritance, succession and will particularly under UAE law. The module covers topics including: eengagement and marriage; elements and conditions of a marriage contract; kinds of marriage; permanent and temporary prohibition of marriage; dowry & alimony; divorce & separation and their legal effects; capacity and tutorship; inheritance, succession and testament, and rules of inheritance.
The module coordinator will provide students with mandatory texts on UAE Law, prepared purposefully for this particular module.
