Module Description: Fundamental concepts; basic principles of fluid statics and dynamics; conservation laws of mass, momentum, and energy developed in the context of the control volume formulation; introduction to viscous flow: boundary layer, laminar and turbulent.  Steady incompressible flow in pipes including: friction and fitting losses, Hydraulic & Energy grade lines, and system operating point.
