MENG 411 HVAC Systems and Analysis

Module Description: This module is designed to introduce the student to the fundamentals of HVAC considerations, analysis, calculations and systems. This includes types and functions of major HVAC systems, Psychrometric chart, Indoor comfort conditions, Heat transmission modes in buildings, Solar radiation, Heating and Cooling load calculations and Air distribution systems. The students will also practice the use of simple energy modelling software (Ecotect) to optain heating and cooling load estimates.
